Strangers under one roof (Fremde Nachbarn) I don’t know my neighbors and my neighbors don’t know me. We are strangers under one roof. I live in a typical house in Hannover with eight flats in three floors. Although I have lived there since five month, I have never met anybody. So that I even don’t know how the people look like or what they do. It seems to be a normal thing in cities. I’m fascinated by the way we live together and how we get in contact or not. My goal is to come close to the strangers who live with me under one roof, to reduce that distance. At the same time I want to show that distance. We are allowed to know each other, to meet and to be curious. Maybe there wouldn’t start any prejudices and it could be easier to ask for help or to understand. Also we could recognize, when somebody needs help and support each other. We don't have to ignore the people in our surroundings and we can be aware of things that happen around us.
